Dôme Café - Maylands
About This Spot
Stepping into Dôme Café in Maylands feels like returning to a familiar neighborhood nook where the bustle of the nearby train station gently fades into the hum of easy conversation and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The space balances a casual energy with moments of quiet, inviting patrons to settle in whether it’s for a brisk morning pick-me-up or a leisurely midday catch-up.
The café’s warmth is subtle but unmistakable: natural light pools across wooden tables, highlighting the timeless charm of its architecture, while soft chatter and the clinking of cups create a rhythmic backdrop to the surroundings. Here, the pace feels thoughtfully unhurried—an ideal pause before heading back into the routines of the day.
The menu richly supports this atmosphere without overwhelming it. You’ll find a calm pleasure in savoring a velvety cappuccino or a latte macchiato alongside light bites that cater lovingly to a range of tastes, from classic breakfasts like eggs benedict to fresh salads dotted with halloumi or salmon. The food feels crafted to complement the experience of connection—whether over a plate shared among friends or quietly enjoyed during a solo moment of reflection.
Staff at Dôme Café carry a genuine kindness that resonates, adding a human warmth to the place that longtime locals appreciate. This attention extends to the quieter corners of the café, where a small meeting room offers a tucked-away space perfect for thoughtful gatherings or focused conversation, without leaving the gentle rhythm of the café behind.
For those who come often or just wander in for a swift bite before catching the train, Dôme Café holds a steady invitation: a little local haven marked by familiar faces, well-made drinks, and an atmosphere cradled between lively community and serene comfort.

I’ve booked The Nook meeting room at this Dome a couple of times for non-for-profit committee meetings and very grateful they offer this - a quiet nice space which can be combined with delicious drinks and food. Booking is easy online and staff always friendly and prompt. The pancake wasn’t the best I’ve had hence the 4 stars for food. Highly recommend otherwise!

Never been to Dome despite living in WA for few years. Today before jumping on the train I had lunch there. Burgers were pretty good. Service was quick and the place in general was well attended.

Good vibes and atmosphere. We come here often because we are always served with politeness and a smile from the employee named Helen. Thank you for always helping us start the day with a pleasant experience

I love the old architecture. It’s convenient to be near the train station. I love the kids drinks and the koala on top is a cute touch. This shit was
